One Year with Solar Panels
Sharon Historical Society Board members has just completed our first full year with 36 solar panels at the museum. We generated enough electricity to completely offset the electricity used by the building with enough left over to cover the fixed charges on the monthly electric bills. We also eliminated the building’s carbon footprint.
By using the monitoring app provided by NEC Solar, managing the thermostat, and installing a more efficient dehumidifier in the basement, we reduced our electricity usage by more than 18% compared to the previous year.
