Not sure what to do with those Halloween pumpkins once trick-or-treating is over? Don’t throw them in the trash! Bring them to the Canton/Sharon Pumpkin Toss on Saturday, Nov. 22nd from 11AM to 2PM at the Canton Farmers Market, 960 Washington St., Canton.

Pumpkins are 90% water, which is great for composting, but especially bad for landfills. Plus, pumpkins in the trash increase tonnage by a lot, driving up costs. Come have fun tossing those pumpkins and keep them out of the waste stream.

This community event is thanks to a partnership between the Town of Sharon and the Canton Farmers Market. For more information, contact Recycling Coordinator Molli Denrich at mdenrich@sharonma.gov.
