Join us for a community cleanup around Lake Massapoag and nearby streets in Sharon to pick up trash and remove invasive plants.
And, for the first time ever, help us clean the shoreline from the water, thanks to our new cleanup partner, Boating in Boston.
Meet at the Memorial Park Beach bandstand (main beach on Beach Street, Sharon) at 8:30 am to sign in and choose your cleanup site.
If you’re interested in going out on the water, you can reserve a kayak or canoe at check-in.
We will provide trash bags, trash tongs, rakes, shovels, gloves, hand sanitizer, and bug spray.
Plan to bring hats, sunscreen, water, snacks — and any favorite work gloves (though we will also have gloves on-site for you.) Long pants and closed-toed shoes are recommended for terrain and poison ivy.
Volunteers who want to help remove invasive plants should bring cutting tools or loppers.
